Durward L. Minor, Sr.

Pastor Durward L. Minor is a native of Starkville, Mississippi, and a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and played football. He also pursued a Master of Divinity degree at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

Pastor Minor has preached the Word of God for more than 35 years and served in pastoral ministry for over 34 years. His pastoral journey has included Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church in West Point, Mississippi; Holiday Hills Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas; and Greater Zion M.B. Church in Beaumont, Texas. For more than 12 years, he has faithfully served as Pastor of New Beginning Baptist Church in Starkville, a ministry he was led by God to establish upon returning home.

Pastor Minor has been married to Angela Ware Minor for over 39 years. They are the proud parents of three children and grandparents of three. He deeply loves the Lord, his family, and his church family.
