How We Began
Every new beginning starts somewhere. Ours started with a yes.
At 3:00 a.m. on July 26, 2014, God spoke to Pastor Minor through a dream and asked a life-changing question: Did he have enough faith to return home and start a ministry? Pastor Minor said, "Yes".
That simple yes would require a tremendous step of faith, leaving Beaumont, Texas, returning to Starkville, Mississippi, and beginning a ministry from the ground up.
By August 12, 2014, New Beginning was officially established. On September 1, Pastor Minor and his family returned home to Starkville, and on October 5, 2014, New Beginning held its very first worship service.
What began with a dream became a journey of faith, and the beginning of a ministry called to serve God and His people.

The Core of Our Faith
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the revealed, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, fully inspired and preserved by God. Its the final authority in all matters of our faith and practice.
The Triune GOD
We believe the Bible is the revealed, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, fully inspired and preserved by God. Its the final authority in all matters of our faith and practice.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose on the third day. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and will return for His Church.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity who convicts us of our need for the Savior and indwells, regenerates, sanctifies, seals, and fills all who place faith in Jesus Christ.
Kingdom-Centered Missions
We believe that God has given the Church the great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there will be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnicity, language, and culture who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Salvation Through Faith
We believe we are all sinners and are unable to free ourselves from sin by our own efforts. Our only hope is repentance, recognizing our sinful condition, and trusting in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. After salvation, the Holy Spirit enables believers to overcome sin and live in obedience to Christ.
